Japanese Classic Car Show 2021 Videos

TJS Radio host Sam Van den Berg talks with Dr Miwa Hitsumoto LMFT, psychotherapist, about performance anxiety, the benefits of being mindful and practicing mindfulness in a live broadcast from the Japanese Classic Car Show at Angels Stadium in Anaheim, California, on October 30, 2021. This video is Part 2 of 3.

Part 1 - Sam welcomes Dr Hitsumoto to the program, and they discuss an interview she gave during the Tokyo Olympics about the importance of psychology on athletic performance and performance anxiety in general, including how the need to sleep can contribute to insomnia. In an ironic turn of events, Dr Hitsumoto was about to talk about mindfulness when the host interrupted the interview to fetch Sung Kang, part of the entourage cast of "The Fast and the Furious" movies, for an interview. Part 1 ends here.

Part 2 - Interview with Sung Kang. Radio host Sam starts chatting with Sung Kang about the car show and Sung's interest in Japanese race cars. Sung brought two of his cars to exhibit, including the Fugu Z, and is thankful to all the show attendants and fellow enthusiasts who mentor beginners like him. Mind racing with thoughts and surrounded by a sea of cameras recording the exchange, Sam's mind went blank, and he abruptly ended the interview before it barely began.

Part 3 - TJS Radio continues the interview with Dr Miwa Hitsumoto, discussing performance anxiety and mindfulness, how mindfulness enables you to be fully present, aware of where you are, what you're doing, while not being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what's going on around you. Dr Hitsumoto talks about the interview she had with The Globe and Mail (Canada's leading newspaper) during the Tokyo Olympics in which she spoke about sports psychology, performance anxiety, and how (Japanese) perfectionism can be detrimental to mental health.

Miwa Hitsumoto PhD, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with offices in Downtown Los Angeles and South Pasadena, California. She is licensed to practice psychotherapy in California, Texas and Nevada, and serves clients in Japanese communities around the world. In addition to running her private practice, LA Counseling, she also serves as the Clinical Director for the nonprofit organization, Center for Japanese Mental Health, whose mission is to improve the mental health of Japanese everywhere, particularly the Japanese diaspora living and working outside Japan.

Japanese Classic Car Showが2年ぶりに開催されました！！
待ちわびていたという方も多いと思います。
イベントには1950年代～90年代までの懐かしい日本車およそ600台が集結しました。
これほどの台数の日本車の旧車が一気に集まるイベントは、全米はもちろん、
日本を入れてもなかなかありません。
毎年見どころ満載のJapanese Classic Car Showですが、今年の目玉は・・・・
あの映画「Fast ＆ Furious（邦題：ワイルドスピード）」に「ハン」役で出演されている
俳優のサン・カンさんが会場にいらっしゃいます。
サン・カンさんは日本車の旧車好きで知られてもいるんですよ。
そのサン・カンさんが作り上げたNissan Zも展示されます。
